Note to Coordinators: 

      Your price quote will consist of; cost of shows (see below), hotel (see below) and travel (quote needed). The only variable from location to location is the travel and the time it takes Daryl to get to your area.

     Pricing out a trip is time consuming, so please list your budget restrictions on the contact form if you are a school that will need airfare or extended driving (from Clinton, NJ) to get to your location. 

Local pricing:

                                    Applies to schools within a 90-minute commute of Clinton, N.J., 

                                              or offered to other schools under special circumstances.  

             (Daryl does not split locations on the same day. He will appear at one school each day.)

      Morning-only or Single programs are offered to Local Schools or others under Special Circumstances

• Morning Back-To-Back: includes up to two AM assembly programs. $1190.00
• Single Day or Night Event Programs: includes 1 assembly program. $990.00

Day Visits: 

• Day Visit: includes up to 2 assembly programs.  $1290.00 
• Day Visit: includes up to 3 assembly programs.  $1490.00 

Things to consider:

• Get 50% off any literacy night event when your school schedules a day visit on the same day. 

 Full Day Author Visits can include these free add-ons: 

•  1 student and author lunch (you pick the students 10-20 is usually a good number), 
• An author visit book sale and signing.
• 2 or 3 in the classroom Q&A sessions for 3rd-5th grades. (Combining Classes is recommended for larger schools.)  

(Because these are free add-ons, they are done at Mr. Cobb's discretion and are subject to change based on Mr. Cobb's vocal health the day of the visit.)

Other Fees: Travel Expenses and Hotel are extra. Some visits will require a hotel stay and others may not. This is based on distance, location, and the start time of the first program.

Extended Travel: (Road or Air)

        Travel Expenses in some cases is simply miles traveled back and forth. But as an author who travels the US, the expense is going to vary from location to location. 

• Some locations require extended driving.
• Some locations require multiple days to get to them and home again.
• Some locations require airfare. 

Your quote total will include the number of programs to be completed: 

•  Day Author Visit with up to 3 assembly programs. 
• Travel Expenses: (Vary from location to location and must be calculated)
• Hotel on average runs $125.00 -$175.00 a night. 
• Some bookings require a two-night stay. (e.g. schools that book a day visit, along with a night visit or areas that are hard to commute to in morning traffic.)

Something to consider: 

• All literacy night visits booked in conjunction with a day visit are discounted to $500.00.  

Reduce your travel costs by booking with other schools:

     It's a good idea for a school who is booking to see if other schools in the area might want to join in on the fun. You have better access to the administrators, reading specialists, librarians/media specialists and parent associations in your area than Daryl will.
