things you might need to know before booking

Daryl's Assemblies include:

•  "Music & Storytime" is perfect for grades K, 1 and 2. / school can include Pre-K with any K-2 assembly / The running Time is 35-45 minutes depending on grade levels attending. 
• "A Writer's Journey" (3 versions, age-appropriate) Elementary, Upper Elementary, and Middle School, can include 2nd through 8th grade.  / The running time is 50-60 minutes; program length is based on grade level attending. 

• Daryl handles the book sale process.
• You will be sent a PDF of the order form
• You will be sent a sale tracking sheet
• You hold the sale and place your order with the tracking sheet
• The books will be shipped to Daryl
• Daryl will sign and tag the books for distribution
• The books will arrive the day of the visit with Daryl

• The number of programs listed in your contract.
• All school visits can include an author book signing and sale.
• Free Add-on Daryl's Personalized Pirate School Book. (See Personalized Pirate School Book for details)
• Free Add-on: All full days can include 1 special student and author lunch.
• Free Add-on: All full days can include up to 3 classroom Q&As for grades 3 and up. 
• All free add-ons are subject to change. Any add-on that requires excessive talking is based on Daryl's vocal health on the day of the visit. (Assembly Programs are the Priority)

• A Movie Screen is Daryl's first choice. If the school has no screen, then a white wall, or a Large TV will do. (Keep in mind, that the audience needs to see and pick out details during the program.)
• Time! Daryl arrives at the school about 90 minutes before the first program starts to set up. 
• Any balances owed are due the morning of the visit.
•  Lunch on any visit that Daryl stays past 12 pm.

•  Daryl comes with his own setup, which includes all AV equipment. 
• Having a backup LCD projector on hand is never a bad idea. 
• Daryl will only need to use the school equipment under special circumstances.
